Our mission is to grow a vibrant performing arts and culture scene where everyone—no matter their experience, ability, financial means, or background—can enjoy, learn, perform, take part, and create. We make this happen by running grassroots projects that bring communities together, spark creativity, break down barriers, and celebrate what makes each person unique.
Current, Past, and Future Projects
Funnylicious Theater – Our Flagship Project
Founded in 2014 by Hon Chong, Funnylicious Theater is ISAC’s flagship project and Slovakia’s first English-language improv theater. We create original, diverse, and engaging performances—everything from fully improvised comedy (short- and long-form) to bold experimental formats. Our shows bring together local and international artists, giving audiences fresh, innovative, and unforgettable live experiences.
Beyond the stage, Funnylicious offers a full range of improv training for the public, schools, and companies, helping people learn, grow, and connect through the art of improvisation.
Story Nights is our long-running storytelling series and community, where people from all walks of life gather to share in one of the oldest art forms—oral storytelling. Our popular shows, True Stories and Bedtime Stories, give both seasoned performers and first-time storytellers a welcoming space to connect with audiences through the power of words.
Story Nights has taken place in cities across Europe and Asia, and has been part of festivals such as the Fjúžn Festival in Bratislava for many years, celebrating diversity, culture, and human connection.
ISAC Films is our newest adventure—a film initiative dedicated to telling stories that matter, especially those that might otherwise go untold. We’re developing both short and feature-length projects that amplify unique voices and perspectives. Watch this space for exciting updates.
Supported by the Visegrad Fund, this project brought together improv and traditional theaters from five countries for a 13-month journey of workshops, tours, and performances. It was a resounding success, building cross-border collaboration, artistic growth, and lifelong friendships.
